The Dance Crashers is a Jamaican music project committed to a pure style, with little fusion, striving to remain as faithful as possible to the origins of traditional Jamaican music, whilst delivering a modern, powerful and contemporary sound. In January 2018, they released their debut album, *Fabulous Coconut*, which already demonstrated great musical and production maturity. Now, after two years of intense work, The Dance Crashers are back in action.

This is a concept album set in the fictional neighbourhood of Rawtown and divided into four chapters inspired by the phases of the moon. These four phases illustrate a cyclical process moving from darkness to light, with darkness reflecting individualism and light symbolising the fulfilment of collective feeling. The album’s narrative tells the story of how the individual reinvents their spaces and learns to share them, drawing on the legacy of the generations that came before us and making everything we have learnt collectively available to those yet to come.

The narrative is musically underpinned by a succession of tracks in which the band explores a wide range of Jamaican musical styles, always in a meaningful way and with an intrinsic link to their own roots.
