The SKA WARS festival, specialising in ska music, brings us a new edition in Mexico City on 21 February 2026.
Since its inception in Monterrey in 1997, its commitment to the skatalite scene has remained steadfast, serving as a showcase for top-tier national and international bands. The festival offers a unique experience for lovers of this genre, as it is curated by “Padrino” Arriaga, a pioneer of the Mexican scene and creator of the festival, ensuring that attendees will experience a true musical battle between quality bands, where the winner will be the audience.
The eagerly awaited return of super band Akatz headlines this edition with their refined sound that continues to win over Mexican “rudies” from Bilbao. Alongside them is the unstoppable force of Out of Control Army, a Mexican band that has become a benchmark for modern ska in Latin America, and Skapital Sound, the Monterrey band that continues to attract attention and establish itself as one of the best representatives of Mexican ska
Also present will be the rebellious vibe of Staya Staya from Argentina, the hybrid sound of Skaterrestres, and the urban beats of The Marginados. Adding to the mix are TJ Fyah Sound and Dr. Gumma Gumma, who will keep the party going all night long.
The doors will open at 4 PM, kicking off an event that promises to be more than just a concert: a collective experience where music brings people together, bodies move to the same beat, and the spirit of ska lives on among the crowd.
