Kepa Urbizu unravels the secrets of KINKI BOYS’ latest EP, Jugando Sucio, in a review for MONDO SONORO, describing the Bilbao trio’s dark yet agile musical style.
“The Bilbao trio sings from the curfews imposed by the solar calendar, observes from the shadows through which they move in constant motion, changes the melodies that each time slot demands, and achieves—what is most coveted in music, and in art in general—their own definition and interpretation of reality. A painting made of dismal strokes that, nevertheless, manages to dance agilely, covered in its mourning garments.”
