With their debut album, “12 Years of Hits”, AKATZ brought a period of development, experimentation and exploration to a close. But new horizons immediately opened up for our heroes, and so in 2006 the mini-CD “Días Mejores” was released, defining AKATZ’s future musical identity. The origin of this mini-CD lies in the track “Better Days”, a song (in English) that explores the timeless theme of love and heartbreak, companionship and solitude. The album is rounded off by three further tracks recorded at Roberto Sánchez’s A-Lone Studios: the lounge-ska track “Sunday” (also sung in English) and two songs that have been staples of their repertoire ever since, “Esa Chica” (a cover of the classic “I Won’t Let You Go” by Keith & Ken) and the instrumental “Lovely”.

A music video was filmed for the occasion, showing AKATZ in action, and it was widely broadcast on almost all local and regional television channels across the country. “Better Days” is also included as a video track on this mini-CD.
