“Strictly live!” is Mr. T-Bone’s first live album, recorded in its entirety during his first European tour (2005), following the release of his album “Mr. T-Bone sees America” (BR014). Every minute of his extensive tour was recorded and subsequently analysed in detail to select the best moments and thus create this album.

This is an album that has not been retouched afterwards; there are no studio tricks – it’s just them and their audience in direct contact, capturing the essence of their unique take on Jamaican music. Striking a chord with the emotions and a warm rhythm, it is performed with gusto and enthusiasm by his ‘Allstars’ band (comprising many of the finest reggae musicians from both Italy and the USA), whilst ‘Gigi de Gaspari aka Mr T-Bone’ delights us with his trombone solos and vocal flourishes in that Italianised English that takes us back to 1930s Chicago and its swing bands and gangsters.

Paris, Madrid, Rotterdam, Groningen and St. Gallen are the venues chosen to showcase Mr T-Bone’s live performances, though many other European cities could just as easily have been chosen, as his music regularly tours the ska and reggae circuits of numerous countries across both Eastern and Western Europe.

With this album, Mr T-Bone invites us to get to know him in a very special way, in his natural habitat, with blood, sweat, tears and, of course, ‘Strictly Live!’
