This classic was written in 1947 for the musical *Finian’s Rainbow*, but it quickly became a jazz standard that captivated legends like Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, and Jimmy Smith. Its lyrics play on the image of that “old devilish moon” as a metaphor for an irresistible love spell, while its rich harmonic structure made it musicians’ favorite playground for improvisation.
In this version, Alberto Tarín achieves something magical: he keeps the sophisticated atmosphere of jazz intact and blends it with the magnetic cadence and obsessive rhythm of reggae. The result is a mid-tempo track that’s fresh and has the perfect vibe to accompany today’s astronomical phenomenon.
